Woodlawn

The first release under the Woodlawn label came in 2021, though some of these wines previously existed under Two Tonne Tasmania, founded in 2013.

Ricky Evans manages five sites in the Tamar Valley, three of them are currently being released single vineyard wines under the Woodlawn banner, alongside traditonal method sparkling.

The home vineyard - Woodlawn, planted in 2017 to 4 hectares, serves as both estate and winery.

Further north, Three Wishes – planted in 2000 by the Whish-Wilson family and cared for by Evans since 2016 – comprises 3 hectares of pinot noir, chardonnay, riesling, and gamay on a warm, sheltered northeast aspect.

The smallest and coolest site, Waverley, was planted in 2005, abandoned in 2014, and revived by Evans for the 2016 vintage is a labor of love – 1.5 hectares of pinot noir, chardonnay, and gewürztraminer.

Sustainable viticulture and classical, minimal-intervention winemaking guide the approach.

Woodlawn represents the top echelon of the portfolio.
