Winemaker - Ricky Evans

Originally from the Tamar Valley, Ricky completed school in Launceston before attending the University of Adelaide to take up a Bachelor of Oenology.
He worked vintage in the Barossa Valley in his final year of study, before a short stint in the Adelaide Hills, then to the Napa Valley until he returned to Tasmania in 2010.
Ricky spent 8 vintages at the acclaimed Bay of Fires winery, working his way from vintage cellar hand to winemaker. In this time he also travelled to gain experience in the Mosel Valley, United Kingdom & Barolo.
Two Tonne Tasmania was established in 2013 as a side project, Ricky departed Bay of Fires in late 2017 to focus on his own farming and winemaking.
